Last updated: 19 July 2026
Stamp Lab (ABN 36 007 918 406) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information, and how you can access it or make a complaint.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

- your signature, where you order a signature stamp
- Correspondence with us by email, phone or live chat
We recognise that signatures and professional registration numbers are sensitive. We collect them only where they are needed to manufacture the product you have ordered, we do not use them for any other purpose, and we do not disclose them to anyone other than the service providers listed in section 4 who are necessary to produce and deliver your order.

- Cookie data (see section 6)
We do not store your full credit card details. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay and Zip Pay, who handle payment data under their own security standards and privacy policies. Where you choose Afterpay or Zip Pay, that provider collects information from you directly to assess and manage your payment arrangement β that collection is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter, contact us, or approve a proof.
Where we collect information from someone other than you β for example where a colleague orders a stamp on your behalf β we take reasonable steps to make you aware of this policy.
3. Why we collect and use it
- To process, manufacture and deliver your order
- To produce and send proofs for your approval
- To communicate with you about your order, including delivery updates

6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies β small text files stored on your device β to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you refuse cookies, some parts of our website may not work properly, including checkout.
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

If you have opted in, we may send you marketing emails about our products and offers. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and we action unsubscribe requests promptly. You can also opt out by emailing sales@stamplab.com.au.
Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about an order you have placed β order confirmations, proofs and dispatch notifications.
8. Security cameras at our premises
Security cameras operate at our Rockhampton premises, covering the production area and the entry and waiting area. Signage reading "SECURITY CAMERA IN USE" is displayed at the front and rear doors.
- Cameras record video only β no audio is recorded
- Footage is stored on the device and automatically overwritten after approximately 14 days
- There is no cloud or external backup
- Access is restricted to the business owner
- Footage is used only for security and safety purposes
9. How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure β including restricted account access, multi-factor authentication, encrypted credential storage, and choosing reputable service providers.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.
10. Data breaches
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
11. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law.
- Business and tax records are retained for seven years as required under Australian tax law
- Artwork, proof files and signature artwork are retained so that repeat and replacement orders can be produced accurately, and so we can verify what was approved if a warranty question arises
You can ask us to delete your artwork or signature at any time (section 12) and we will do so, subject to any records we must keep by law. If you would prefer we did not retain your signature artwork after your order is complete, just tell us when you order.
12. Accessing and correcting your information
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it.
